How Can I Become A Part Of It ?

Jfunk.org. Is a new website devoted to house DJs and the love of house music. There will be music from all kinds of DJs from bedroom/party to bar and club. The idea is DJs can get their work herd and allow them to promote themselves a little and for lovers of house to get a chance to listen to some of the great music these people are making and playing. Once the forum is up and running people will be able to discuss great new tracks and fab nights out. There will also be online DJ championships and competition, useful links and some fun stuff like wall papers, custom desktops and custom home pages. Please check out our facebook page and or “how can I be a part of it” section for more details of how you can help.
We will be having a launch party when the site is finished ( hopefully mid September ) If you would be interested in coming just sign up to our facebook page and we will let you know when and where depending on how much interest there is.
If you are a club promoter or bar owner who would like to hold such a night just email us and let us know.

What can you contribute

Basically this is an organic project where just about any input is welcome. Here are a few examples of how you could contribute to the site.

  1. DJs - You can send us mixes to show off your skills. If you send us a good biog and pics we can feature them as well. Feel free to use our ftp service to upload your content. You can also send us links to your own site or MySpace etc.
  2. Web designers and coders - If you have some cool effects or toys we can add to the site to spruce it up a bit they are all welcome. The site will probably use quite a lot of flash, we hope to have some cool games and interactive features as well as some animations so again if you have created something you want to get out there ( preferably DJ / Clubbing related) please send it to us. If you can make it as modular as possible or stand alone so it is easy to integrate that would be great.
  3. Turntabelists - Demos obviously but if you can write any guides or diagrams to help those who are still learning improve their skills.
  4. Everyone. Any innovative ideas, requests or snags you find just let us know - - - - jfunk@jfunk.org. Any feedback is gratefully received and will help us improve the overall experience. If you could link to us on your site that would really help and in return we will link back if you so request.
  5. Artists and photographers. We will need cool backgrounds and pics for the site so send us what you can and we will add alt tags to them to let people know who contributed them.

So please do what you can to help us out and we will do our best to help you get your work out there on the net.
