Ever wanted a fool proof plan
to help you pull in a club?
Many years ago a good friend and I where discussing how hard it is sometimes to pull in a club mainly due to the noise and vast crowds. So over several weeks we came up with the perfect 10 point plan. If executed correctly you can chat up people of the opposit sex without the fear of public rejection and do it without being sleazy.
So without further adoo I present the JFunk.org fool proof 10 point plan.
1 Make sure You are noticeable
The first hurdle is getting noticed and remembered. I find a gimic often helps. It can be something small like a sheriffs badge and going right up to wearing a full dayglo suit with flashing lights. The main rule is make sure you have something instantly memorable about yourself and stand out from the crowd. As long as you feel comfortable with it push the boundaries of what people expect as much as possible.
2 Find a prominent position
This is essentially a numbers game so you need to make sure everyone can see you and you can see everyone. Ideally you want a place on a podium or step to raise you up above the crowd. Then dance your heart out and move to stage 3
3 Eye contact
This is where it all starts to come together. From your vantage point you should be able to spot anyone showing an interest. Because of your noticeable garb people will inevitably look at you. Try to scan the crowd for somone attractive looking at you. Now try to maintain eye contact for around a second (don’t forget to put on your friendly smile). If they don’t break your stare straight away you know they are at least intrigued by you. Then carry on scanning the crowd and repeat until you have a good idea who is best to focus on.
4 Pointing (the wink and the gun)
Now to narrow it down further and confirm you have a bite by knocking it up a notch. Move on from just maintaining the odd gaze to full blown pointing, winking or the classic wink and the gun combo (my favourite). If you get a point, wink or wink+gun back then you are ready for the next stage.
5 Chat to the fat
This may sound mean but if you think abbout it everybody wins. Most people go out in groups and you can use this to your advantage. I find the best way into a group is to speak to the fat/ugly one. They are normaly quite chatty, bubbly and easy to talk to. No need to wory about rejection because A) they are normaly glad that someone is paying them attention and B) You don't really care if they dont want to talk because you are not after them anyway.
6 Get introduced and make an impact
Now you have got chatty get introduced to the others in the group, making sure you give your target some warm and knowing eye contact as you get introduced - really give it some sparkle. Make sure you are charming and fun. You might want to make up an obviously fake but memorable backstory such as dolphin trainer or space bandito. This will make sure they can call out to you even if they forget your name - it is much more fun to shout out HEY SPACE BANDITO than HEY DAVE or JENNY.
7 Walk away
Once you have had a polite and friendly chat, walk away - go for a drink or a dance. Doing this has a couple of real advantages A) you wont look too pushy and may even look cooler/more interesting because most people will try to go in for the kill and B) coming back 20 minutes later you are no longer a stranger you are that fun memorable person they met earlier and it will feel more natural. If you really feel like a player and you are in a multi-roomed club you can whizz off to another room and start from stage 2 again so you have a backup plan if it does not work out.
8 Chat to the target
Now it is time to go back and chat to the target. If the less desirable person you were speaking to seemed a bit posessive wait til they go to the bar/toilet then move in for the kill. Again witty and charming and with plenty of sparkle. A good trick is to ask open questions and listen, listen, listen. Then find common ground or a common interest.
9 Use innuendo
If you can work some innuendo or double-entendre into the conversation then all the better. This will help show your intent in a safe and funny way. The double-entendre is the best because if they take offence you can plead innocence and say they have a dirty mind.
10 Herd to the bar
This is where you have to make a judgement call - When you feel the time is right suggest going to the bar to buy a drink or if you dont want to be too obvious you can offer to get a round in and take the target with you to help carry them. Pick a busy bar - this will give you plenty of time to chat have a giggle and get closer. If you cannot seal the deal now you have definitely set yourself up for a night of flirtatious fun.
